The guy running this so-called guest house is very greedy. As soon as we came, he asked for more money, supposedly because we booked on such a short notice (WHAAT?). Why did you agreed to rent in the first place? We paid 1500$ in advance and get treated this way. Then he wanted to extort more money by offering some sightseeing tour with him, even though he is not a guide or anything and has just one small car, and we arrived in the group of 6 and rented 3 rooms. There were also more issue, in other 2 or 3 rooms were some drunk people, making noise ALL THE TIME. The carpet was dirty. Not a good experience and not recommended.

In my native language the name of this place means “Don’t!” And DON’T!
It wasn’t a good experience. No good air condition, a lot of flies and mosquitoes,
fridge was not broken but it was cooling badly, luckily we were not purchasing
a lot of food items because we went to town a lot, and eaten in restaurants and
eating Captain Doubles on streets. Room wasn’t clean. We stayed for a week and
didn’t notice it was cleaned ONCE.

I don’t agree with previous reviews, my stay was pleasant. I traveled with hubby and kids, we stayed for a week and not a single incident happened.Yes, the house is crowded because is has 6 rooms, but you have to expect running on someone in the hall or kitchen, it is normal. And of course everyone won’t be quiet, I don’t expect them to be in the first place.

Location

Port of Spain, officially the City of Port of Spain (also stylized Port-of-Spain), is the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago and the country's second-largest city after San Fernando and the third largest municipality after Chaguanas and San Fernando. The city has a municipal population of 37,074 (2011 census), an urban population of over 80,000 and visitors/workers of over 250,000.

The city serves primarily as a retail and administrative centre and it has been the capital of the island since 1757. It is also an important financial services centre for the Caribbean and is home of many banks.

The Port of Spain was founded near the site of the Amerindian fishing village of Cumucurapo ("place of the silk cotton trees"), located in the area today known as Mucurapo, west of the city centre. In 1560, a Spanish garrison was posted near the foot of the Laventille Hills, which today form the city's eastern boundary.

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.

The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches, the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.
