This is a historic place for Trinidad and Tobago and if you care to learn more about the island’s history, this is a good place to visit. My group was taken here and our local guide explained the most important parts of their history. The monument is interesting and is placed on a rock with a breathtaking view. We took some great photos here, especially with the canons.
This fantastic sculpture represents and commemorates the settlers from the area what is today’s Latvia. We came from Europe for holiday and my cousin (a Plymouth local) took us to The Monument. It would be better if we had paid a real guide to explain everything nicely but I liked it.
