Port of Spain, officially the City of Port of Spain (also stylized Port-of-Spain), is the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago and the country's second-largest city after San Fernando and the third largest municipality after Chaguanas and San Fernando. The city has a municipal population of 37,074 (2011 census), an urban population of over 80,000 and visitors/workers of over 250,000.
The city serves primarily as a retail and administrative centre and it has been the capital of the island since 1757. It is also an important financial services centre for the Caribbean and is home of many banks.
The Port of Spain was founded near the site of the Amerindian fishing village of Cumucurapo ("place of the silk cotton trees"), located in the area today known as Mucurapo, west of the city centre. In 1560, a Spanish garrison was posted near the foot of the Laventille Hills, which today form the city's eastern boundary.
The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.
The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches, the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.

Great restaurant with amazing food. It was a little pricey for our budget but totally worth it.
They have a dress code so you are supposed to come in decent clothes (no beach garments or sandals).
It is good for business meetings.
This restaurant offers the best sushi I’ve tried in my whole life.
With their offer of more than 200 kinds of vine, it’s not surprising “More Vino” is extremely popular location. They also offer a great variety of food. My favorite sushi in Trinidad can be found right here. It’s wrapped interestingly and uniquely and the flavor is indescribable.
Yeah, the name pretty much says it all. Wine of all sorts and regions and for different prices can be found here. Enjoyable place for wine lovers. My husband and I witnessed a romantic proposal. This place has a great vibe.
Great food – but unfortunately – too expensive!
Great service and excellent place where you can sit down and have a good time. The sushi was beyond my expectations.
I took my wife here for sushi for our 5th anniversary. We had some amazing wraps. I ordered a bottle of wine, it was expensive but old and great quality. The overal atmosphere is great, calm music is playing and the candles are lit in the evening. Fantastic!
How can you resist this funky place with such a provocative name. My friends and I didn’t even bother to search for other places during our vacation. It’s really cool.
