Spacious and clean rooms. Me and my friends stayed for 16 days and planing on returning again in the next month or two. It is affordable and has a nice staff, the sheets were always nice and clean, and the room smelled nice when we returned from our daily endeavours.

One girl who was supposed to buzz guest inside was extremely impolite, but I don’t care since my room was nice and clean. The place is in the center, so you have access to anything you may need, from grocery stores, restaurants… Stayed here 3 times, planing on visiting again in couple of months for a conference, so I guess Calypso is my destination the next time too.

Not sure why me and my boyfriend got much worse room than my friend when the pricing was the same. We had only a bed, literally. Just a bed and a bathroom. I don’t think I’ll be back. It was okay, an average, but we paid more than we got.

The bathroom was dirty and shared with other people on the floor. It was always wet and slippery. Our room was quite small but clean. The safety is good, someone has to buzz you in which I consider a good thing, especially if you visit with children. Not bad in general.

They advertised jacuzzi, but we never saw one. Internet signal was weak. Everything seemed better in the guide.
Room was okay, nothing special. We had our own bathroom, luckily. The room was $50 per night.

Location

Port of Spain, officially the City of Port of Spain (also stylized Port-of-Spain), is the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago and the country's second-largest city after San Fernando and the third largest municipality after Chaguanas and San Fernando. The city has a municipal population of 37,074 (2011 census), an urban population of over 80,000 and visitors/workers of over 250,000.

The city serves primarily as a retail and administrative centre and it has been the capital of the island since 1757. It is also an important financial services centre for the Caribbean and is home of many banks.

The Port of Spain was founded near the site of the Amerindian fishing village of Cumucurapo ("place of the silk cotton trees"), located in the area today known as Mucurapo, west of the city centre. In 1560, a Spanish garrison was posted near the foot of the Laventille Hills, which today form the city's eastern boundary.

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.

The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches, the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.
