Our shores were graced by the likes of American rappers Nicki Minaj and Ludacris for 2020 carnival. Oh, what an experience they had. Sounds of sun and fun. Ludacris has quoted Trinidad’s carnival as one of his top 5 experiences in his life. Definitely, it was, his Instagram page is flooded with posts of his amazing time with us.

From dancing on music truck, posing with carnival beauties to taking a plunge into the sea. Even shared photos with Olympic Glod medallist Usain Bolt, who was also visiting for carnival. Ludacris had the time of his life and vowes to return.

Nicki took to the street with Tribe, looking most radiant in her bejewelled blue, silver and purple costume. Amidst all the celebration, Niki was encouraged to sing soca, who knows she might. But the highlight was for the girls at the St. Jude Home for girls. With a mini-concert and inspirational speech about career and relationship. Niki even donated US$25,000.00 to the home and hopes to gift the community youths with a recreation centre as well. Certainly the cherry on top.

Both rappers had a great time. Trinidad and Tobago’s carnival brings out the stars.
