Two security guards stationed at Maracas Beach Facility were thrown into action this morning as two bathers got into difficulties.
Officer Andell Rambaran was approached by a woman who indicated her husband and daughter were seemingly having trouble at sea.
Officer Rambaran informed his colleague Keron Vargas, whom only that morning told him he was training to be a lifeguard and was a professional swimmer.
Knowing there is no lifeguard on duty until 10 am, Rambaran and Vargas took action.
Officer Vargas quickly removed his boots and ran into the high waters, rescuing both father and daughter. Bring them to safety. The bravery of officer Vargas was highly praised by beach goes and relatives.
Angels among us!
