Make sure to climb the tower view so you can take the best picture of the bay. It’s a lovely place, but not anyhow different than the other forts. There’s a great lawn and cannons and it’s a good stop by destination for fifteen-twenty minutes.
Interesting place, nice view and some awesome cannons around.
A fort is naturally built on the hill with a grand view of the bay so you can always be ready if the enemy comes over. That’s also the case with Fort George. Today it is just remain of what used to be a guarding fort, but the view is still beautiful.
Rent a car, drive up here and enjoy the breeze and the view. A day up here is much better than spent down on a crowded beach (though the beaches are awesome too).
