The beach is perfect. My family of four had a very relaxing day and we rented a car to get there. Also, there are taxis you can use to take you to Castara Bay, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re with kids, because they aren’t so easy to find. There are also toilets (they charge about $1).
This place is ideal if you’re seeking cheaper but good beach restaurants and calm beaches where you can fish as the locals do. My wife and I were going here almost every other day during our vacation on the island and we really relaxed well. She was reading, I made friends with some local fishermen and we all had fun.
I’m especially fond of this bay because my boyfriend, now fiance, asked me to marry him. The place is very private, there are not too many people and the prices are more affordable. Also, it is perfect for romantic getaways. Castara Bay <3
Castara is a rural area and the beach is not crowded. I was here with my boyfriend and this was our best holiday. The beach offers facilities like showers and toilets. There are some great restaurants near offering many cuisines.
