The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches,the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.

Once home and atelier of a German born artist Kimme, now a museum known as “The Castle”. For a small fee of $3.50, one can see Kimme’s large sculptures resembling local culture of Tobago. A must see!
Unique sculptures of German born artist Luise Kimme are indeed a treat for the eyes. She was depicting Trinidadian folklore, dancers – girls and boys in traditional clothes. As an art major and future sculptor, I find her work amazing and fascinating. The visit was affordable and perfect.
Kimme Museum is a museum that will bring you closer to the island’s culture and history and if you’re willing to pay a modest fee for the entrance I’m sure you will have a splendid time. The name comes from the German artist who used to live in there. I found myself having enjoying the day at the museum although I could have easily drifted off on some of the beaches.
Art with the soul!
Soulful little place where you can see some interesting things related to the Trinidad’s history. I didn’t expect to see people there at all, but there were some enthusiast just like myself.
